  • Oh, we have a toilet in our laundry room downstairs. It is an actual throne. You see a high platform, with two steps, and a toilet. We have teased and joked about this, but it is a sad statement. This is the way it was, when we purchased our home. Ironically, we have totally gutted the main floor bath, since we have moved in six years ago, and it has been completely made over, with plenty of storage. I am disabled, so getting an accessible bathroom was at the top of our list. Having a second toilet is wonderful…however, it would be nice to have even a small bathroom, with walls. The prize would be spectacular, since it comes with high end finishes and it would be something to be proud of. It would be
    a transformation for our basement. I really like the Canadian Home Trends website as it shares some creative solutions.

  • I am entering for the purpose of winning this for my boyfriend. His house is in great need of a renovation. It’s almost 100 years old and he talks about renovating it back to 1930’s style.   • I really want to win this for my folks. They are retired and have lived in the same home for nearly 60 years. The main floor bathroom fixtures -tub and sink specifically – are nearly 60 years old. And when I was young I was trying to help out and clean the tub and I accidentally used a product that destroyed the finish. They had the tub reglazed but it’s been over 40 years and the glaze is peeling off and has consequently clogged the tub disastrously. It’s really unusable. They built an addition and do have a second bathroom and this one is for guests. They like to entertain and have many guests. Especially this Christmas it is going to be hard with all the family there – children and grandchildren – and no guest bath. I would love to win this for them!!!
