Designer Genevieve Ghaleb creates a stunning bathroom that any man would love to call his own.
CANADIAN HOME TRENDS CAN YOU TELL US WHAT THE INSPIRATION WAS FOR YOUR DESIGN?
GENEVIEVE GHALEB My goal with this design was to create a space tailored to the needs of today’s busy, modern gentleman. Th e space needed to off er intentional luxury and contemporary design. Inspired by Miami’s beaches and its contemporary architectural scene, this space is simple and quiet without being boring.
CHT WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PIECE IN THE ROOM?
GG The Lyndon Freestanding Soaking Tub is by far my favorite tub on the market right now. Contemporary design can be very linear and unobtrusive. I love that this tub adds contrast by introducing soft curves; it’s very sexy. Timeless, ageless pieces are important for my work. Th is tub works well with the contemporary designs of today yet is flexible enough for historic rooms influenced by yesterday.
CHT WHAT UNEXPECTED LUXURIES HAVE YOU INCLUDED IN THIS SPACE?
GG This space is all about facilitating a busy gentleman’s morning and evening routine. I wanted to add details that would really allow for a personal experience. I felt that a busy man would really benefit from having a shaving station in the shower, a concrete, no fuss custom vanity (for two!) and a hidden espresso machine and wine fridge. These make for all the details a modern man needs in one place, when getting ready or unwinding!
