Like myself, I am sure everyone anticipated the arrival of Target into Canada. Countless shopping trips to New York and I had yet to step into a Target store until now. First section I went into of course, you guessed it, the home décor section. It was like: “I was on a mission from God”. If you are a Blue’s Brothers fan you will get this reference.

Seriously though, I wanted to find a new runner for my front foyer. My home décor is pretty neutral but I like to layer it with varying textures to make it interesting and will often add some colour to change things up. For the last two years the accent colour has been green and this year I am so in love with the grey and yellow combination. I found the perfect runner at the right price but unfortunately it wasn’t wide enough. However while perusing, I found myself attracted to all the colour in the patio section. With its bold colours, I was immediately drawn to this striped patio rug and thus this blog was born.

I found myself redecorating my front veranda. After the long winter we had and this spring which refuses to arrive, I was craving colour and warmth. I found this bistro set with yellow seat cushions and then I just couldn’t stop myself.

Can’t forget the accents! This is actually an indoor pillow but since it’s a covered veranda, I like bringing the inside outside as an extension of my home.

And lastly, a planter for some much needed greenery; perhaps a boxwood or tall grasses since there is so much colour already.
