TREND WATCH: Favourites for 2014

As you can imagine, being the online editor for a national decor magazine, I am inundated with trend reports and predictions at this time of year. Incorporating all the trends into your decor each year would be impossible! If you are looking to update your decor with some of this year’s hottest trends, I suggest choosing a few of your favourites and sticking to those. Here are some of my favourites for 2014!

Animal Prints as Neutrals

Animal prints are the hot neutral for 2014! These pieces act as neutrals while still bringing texture and visual interest to a room. Animal patterns and prints in monochromatic colour schemes are replacing neutrals in furniture, accessories and even on walls! Here, a python print on the fireplace maintains a neutral colour palette while adding texture and visual interest to the space!
