The homeowner wanted a very deep color for the dining room, so we chose a very rich plum, that makes this room look rich and more welcoming as it was quite large. We finished off the look with a metallic champagne ceiling. – Designed by Gabriele Pizzale, www.pizzaledesigninc.com, Photo by Mike Chajecki, www.mikechajecki.com

What we did here was photograph the same space designed two ways. The original look is in neutral creams and blush tones with soft gold accents. To show people how easy and affordable it would be to follow the trend and bring some color into their home, we changed some of the toss cushions, the art and a few accessories to vibrant jewel tones. – Designed by Nicole Varga and Trish Knight, Knight | Varga Interiors, www.knightvarga.com

A geometric patterned wallpaper is a great way to add subtle color and visual interest to a room. In this bedroom, we started with a great wallpaper and added pops of color in the bedding and accessories. – Designed by Yvonne Whelan, www.yvonnewhelandesign.com

Add Color For an Instant Updated Decor, the homeowners wanted a lively, functional colorfully painted space to focus on school and crafts with their two children, and the idea was to bring the outdoor view of the pool inside! We created a custom world map mural and built-in millwork to display and organize books and games, and ensured there was ample room for crafting, homework and enjoying the outdoor view! This room is now a family favorite! – Designed by Jillian Straky, www.housewears.ca

Found objects and keepsakes passed down from generations was a key inspiration for this look and these elements created a space layered with charm and the perfect backdrop from the homeowners’ collection of objects. Custom millwork was paired with metal work with a living finish that will tarnish over time. We added a fun leather bench seat and paired it with a found filing cabinet. A solid unique live edge walnut countertop added that depth of sophistication and old world charm. – Designed by Jamie Banfield, www.jamiebanfield.ca

Beige is back as a neutral! This time around, beige has been updated as a perfect backdrop for all the rich, warm tones of the current color trends like rust, tobacco (as seen in the drapery), mustard (as seen in the pillows and accessories). The vibrant teal blue cools the palette just a little and adds a great pop of color. As always, use lots of texture and a variety of materials to bring the color scheme to life – Designed by Robbin Caskenette www.robbincaskenetteinteriors.com Click here to see another space by this Designer
