Nestled in the rolling hills of Creemore, Ontario is the weekend retreat of a Toronto family, happy to exchange the hustle and bustle of the big city for the leisurely pursuits attached to their rural acreage. The bedrooms and home office have been set apart from the public areas and furnished with a combination of antiques and some more modern elements to create a vibrant, eclectic mix. The vestibule in front of these rooms is wallpapered in a turn-of-the-century wallpaper depicting naturalistic themes according to each letter of the alphabet. I am told by the family that the house never feels too big when there are only a few people in residence, or too small when there are large crowds. Providing options for living that are both beautiful and comfortable takes care of that challenge. - Text by Shelley Kirsch of Shelley Kirsch Interior Design and Decoration
