People living in apartments and condos are always vying for storage space. If you’re lucky enough to have a laundry room it will certainly come in all shapes and sizes these days but mostly small! Fortunately, today there are a number of innovative ideas to make the most of tiny spaces.
There can be as little as 6 inches from the door frame to the appliances and keep in mind that you need to have quick access to the taps to shut off the water.
Any wall mounting shelf should be removable [on hooks] so that should you need to get to the taps or take the appliances out, it’s easy and quick.
Here are some of the most clever storage ideas I’ve seen. And best of all, these require no cutting or heavy hardware to hold items such as laundry soap.
Option 1
Slim Slide out –Easy to see, better for heavier soap containers and items that should be placed lower in case of spillage [i.e. bleach].
Found at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Option 2
Two or more wire baskets hung vertically or horizontally, above and/or below the taps.

Option 3
If you have plenty to store, this option is great. If you have no room to close the door try placing this door unit on the wall next to the appliances. [You will just need different hooks].

Option 4
Should you require more storage consider a shower caddy on a tension pole placed in the far back corner and behind the taps. This can be removed effortlessly should you require access.
Caddie’s come in all widths and heights; with many available as corner units.
Option 5
In addition, you may even be able to fit this unit (or one similar) right up against the inside of the door frame and hang clothing as you take it out of the dryer.
No matter how tight the space, with a bit of creativity, there is always a way to squeeze in more storage.
