Focus Where it Counts
Two of your home’s prominent selling points are the bathrooms and the kitchen, so focus your energy on cleaning, organizing, and staging these rooms first. Err on the side of minimalism, and ensure that toiletries and used dishware are out of sight.
Show off Your Storage
When preparing your home for sale, you may be tempted to stuff your closets and drawers with items you’re trying to hide – this might actually be a big mistake, as storage is also a big selling point for homes. So, show yours off! Try to keep drawers and closets uncluttered and only partially full, so you can showcase them to potential buyers.
Rearrange your Furniture
Regardless of your current furniture scheme, when you’re selling, you may want to consider rearranging your layout, perhaps in a way akin to a showroom. Set up your furniture in clusters, such as a comfy chair, an ottoman and a lamp in one corner to indicate a reading nook. Try to avoid pushing your furniture up against the walls, which will make the space look more cramped than you intended.

Pay Attention to Temperature
While you may like to have your air conditioning blasting in the summertime, your potential buyers may find it off putting. Try to keep your temperature mild, around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, while you’re showing.
