Fabulous Faux Wainscoting

I love the mix of Moroccan, Spanish and Mediterranean influences that “Million Dollar Decorator” & fellow designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard infused into the Colony Palms Hotel. The recently-renovated hotel now has a touch of old Hollywood glam with an exotic feel to it. I especially love the painted ‘wainscoting’ that is seen throughout the accommodation. It seems to frame the room, creating a feeling of warmth. It’s a great inexpensive alternative to traditional wainscoting, and it’s a fun way to experiment with colour without having to paint the entire wall.

I’m totally addicted to Million Dollar Decorators and though this season has come to an end you can still catch me watching the re-runs on Bravo!
