CANADIAN DESIGN is elegant and relaxed. While we do focus on comfort and functionality, the industry is growing and I think we’re starting to really push the boundaries.

LOCATION, LOCAL CULTURE AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT are a big factor in design. The location always informs the design, whether it’s with the materials we are using, or how to optimize the light in the space. Not to mention, we love to fill our clients’ homes with art by local artists. There is so much talent to explore!

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT VANCOUVER is being surrounded by nature, from the mountains to the ocean, but still being able to have the convenience of the city. I always say, it’s the only place where you can ski and sail in the same day… which I have done!

I WOULD LOVE TO DESIGN A PROJECT in Montreal, Quebec. Its rich architectural history is something we don’t necessarily have here in Vancouver and I would love to get creative with all of the unique design opportunities.
