With our short Canadian summers we want to maximize our time outside, both at home and at the cottage. By creating a cozy, stylish seating area, we can extend our living space outdoors and spend more time enjoying the summer sun.
The exotic, tropical cottage, African-inspired look is hot right now and it translates beautifully in an outdoor setting. It is a perfect balance of the monotone vibe with some interesting shapes and textures. Exotic lighting is key to make a space inviting and unique; also a splash of green with large palms sets the tone.
For this tropical cottage design board, I paired a sleek, modern sectional and ottoman with warm textured and patterned accessories for a look that is both on trend and cozy at the same time.
