Q: I love the unique look of stainless steel counter tops but I’m wondering how they stand up compared to other more traditional materials?
Stainless steel counter tops can definitely make a strong statement but they have many benefits beyond the unique look they provide! Stainless steel is durable and heat-resistant so you can put a hot pot straight on the counter top without damaging it. It is also non-porous which makes it easy to clean and incredibly sanitary. Stainless steel can be formed and pieced together in nearly any configuration and your undermount sink can be integrated into the counter top for a completely seamless finish. This creates a very high-end look but it also removes areas where bacteria and grime normally gather! Best of all, stainless steel is a 100% recyclable material, making it a greener choice as well!
