My First Challange: We had to convert two commercial bathrooms into one bathroom area that could accommodate a shower, toilet and vanity. As the floors were concrete, the location of the fixtures couldn’t change, which posed a problem in the flow of the space. In the smaller of the two bathrooms, the toilet and vanity had been installed against the dividing wall between the two bathrooms which made it difficult and costly for us to combine the two rooms to make one large room.

My Solution: When converting a commercial space into a small condo, we must think outside the box. As the two bathrooms could not be merged together, we decided to separate the areas in two – the shower room and the powder room. The homeowners wanted the versatility of a luxurious master suite while offering all the amenities of a powder room for guests to enjoy. We outfitted the shower area with a luxurious Moen ioDIGITAL™ spa system. The spa-like area features four bodysprays, a rain shower, a handshower, and a digital water temperature control to make the area feel like a spa at home.

To finish off the area, we installed a Fleurco shower door that closes onto itself so as to convert the area into a dressing room when the shower is not in use. The result is nothing short of a gorgeous private shower/dressing room that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come.

My Second Challange: The powder room needed new fixtures, vanity and a new look.

My Solution: We installed a beautiful dark wood vanity by Valley Acrylic that was inspired by the gorgeous black tiled floor. We outfitted the vanity with a sleek and stylish Arris single hole faucet by Moen. I loved the lines and unique shape of this faucet and thought it complemented the vanity quite well. I then added a large scale mirror to create the illusion of more space in the small powder room.
