Insider Secrets… Bathroom Advice

I am renovating my bathroom this summer and I’d like to create a space that is unique and memorable. Can you suggest some design details I should consider? – Sandra

When designing a bathroom, it’s the little details that make all the difference. Here are some unique ideas you may not have considered that could really make your bathroom stand out!

Decorative Touches The most functional aspects of a bathroom can provide the perfect place for a unique detail. Decorative linear drain covers are a great example, turning a boring drain into a style piece.

Glass Styles The right glass door can enhance the look and feel of your bathroom. A crisp, clear glass is perfect for a modern aesthetic while a more traditional prism or mist glass style will offer more privacy.

Hardware Options Hardware can make all the difference! Changing handles, hinges and other hardware can completely change the look of a room!

Matte Finish Traditionally, bathroom paint has a higher sheen finish. Benjamin Moore’s Aura Bath and Spa is changing this, offering the opportunity to choose an unexpected, easy-to-clean, matte finish without losing durability or moisture resistance.

Tile Work Using colours, textures and patterns can allow you to create a dramatic design statement with tile. This could be a gorgeous shower surround or something as simple as a border of decorative tile on the wall.
