Ahhhh sleep, sweet sleep. I am obsessed with bedrooms lately! Let’s talk about how to achieve an L.A. vibe in your sleep space, no matter how big or small! I love to start with white, light and bright. Those are my rules of thumb when creating a crisp clean and inviting California-vibe sleep haven. I had to add the Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance starter kit. These light bulbs use smart technology where you simply download an app and you can instantly set the mood with millions of shades of white and color light.

I painted the ceiling in Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace OC-65 and added a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore’s Smoke 2122-40 to the closet doors to give the room a pop of color. When I moved onto the walls, I wanted it to be simple, so I used Metrie Complete Shiplap. There was no painting or staining needed as they came pre-painted which saved time for other project areas.

The bed is the heart of the bedroom, so I wanted a design that would look great while letting guests get their best night’s sleep. I grabbed a compact Bloom mattress, pillows, linens, duvet, and duvet cover from Sleep Country! I kept neutral tones throughout the design to create the illusion of a larger space. HomeSense was my next stop for the artwork on the feature wall, side table lights, throw pillows, rug, and hooks. They have an endless assortment to suit all needs at amazing prices. Whether you are having guests over or upgrading your own personal sleep retreat, I hope you enjoy my sleep worthy tips.
