Embracing Green

General Paint Colour Palette: Sedum, Caffeine, Touch Wood, Soot, Windmill

Green, green and more green! We, as stagers, spend a lot of time painting things “greige”, people like to move into an easy pallet and make spaces their own. Light colours of beiges and greys do that. BUT if you are LIVING in your home, we are seeing a trend of green in all shades and hues, from apple to the softest almost white green. Colour for living is coming back. Gone are the taupe days. People are looking to add more character to their walls and we are seeing it in fashion, car colours and paint.

If you are planning on a move, it’s a good idea to not go too crazy with bright colours, but softer more muted tones can be so refreshing if you dare! Most decorators/designers/stagers will offer colour consultations and can help guide you in the best direction for your light and space. So, maybe Pantone’s colour of the year “Radiant Orchid” isn’t right for you, but with all the choices available I’m sure, you can find the colour that will help – Change where you live!
