Chocolada’s recipes are a collection of traditional and cherished Eastern European recipes. These recipes have been passed down through numerous generations, eventually landing in Toronto in the 1980s. In 1988 Chocolada started selling three types of pastries to local European delis, and word of these pastries quickly spread all over Toronto within the first year. They quickly upgraded to a booming professional bakery and retail enterprise. Chocolada prides itself on its presence throughout its clients’ lives, often being called upon for Toronto’s most important family celebrations. They now sell over 60 different cakes, pastries, and savory baked items as well as seasonal treats such as gelato and milkshakes. Their small family baking fun has turned into a glorious booming business.
