Inky Blue Living Room Concept by Designer Jil Sonia McDonald, Jil Sonia Interiors
Blue Living Room Design Board: This look was inspired by my favorite color trend, a dark, inky blue. This room represents the return of color in design with light neutrals such as a warm white, used both on the walls and trim creates a seamless look. Vary the finishes of the paint to help define the details; select a satin finish for the trim and eggshell for the walls. A colorful sofa, pillows, natural wood accessories, sparkling gold lighting and clean-lined furniture help to tie to the room together. This color also pairs well with other natural elements like stone or concrete and large plants. If you’d like to switch it up for a bold look, a dark blue accent wall paired with a natural wooden floor is sure to inspire your guests along with the other textured elements in the room. Who makes the gold starburst chandelier. I can’t find it on the Litemode site
The chandelier is called Sirius – you can find it here.
I like both designs but My vote is for Jil’s design.
She bought color, movement and a marriage of styles to her design. I just love her detail and passion.
Jil’s design board is my favourite, the rich, warm colours offer cheer and comfort.
Inky blue is more comforting
