Railings: A Christmas Decor Essential

If you are quite in the mood for Christmas decorating your house (I mean who isn’t?), we have a few useful tips to make this process smoother and even more enjoyable!

Railings are a part of interior and exterior design that most of the time become invisible to your eye. It’s time to spice them up with some garlands and make them stand out. Not only will you have a beautiful piece of art in the end, handrails are especially easy and convenient to decorate. You have a free standing structure that has a square or rectangular shape making it a perfect piece to put dome décor on.

Front porch rails look especially beautiful with pine branches over the top bar (can be used for both framed glass rails and picketed versions), while you can add some lanterns next to the railing.

For the interior, you can add some coziness and merry mood by installing some garlands over your handrail or entire guardrail. If you have glass railing, you may also draw snowflake patterns on glass.

For the rail around your terrace or deck, we recommend using some ready-made planters with Christmas plants or décor. You may install them at the stair railing or use some hangers to put over the top of the handrail in a few spots.

We hope you enjoy your Christmas decorating and have a wonderful holiday season! – www.art-metal.ca
