How to Ripen Fruit

If you have purchased a papaya with green skin, the papaya will have to be ripened. The best way to ripen the papaya is to place it on the counter at room temperature until the skin reaches a yellow-orange colour. A ripe papaya will give a little when gently squeezed. When the papaya has reached the ripe stage, place in the refrigerator until ready to consume.
