Supplies:
- Krylon® ColorMaster Enamel
- Island Splash #53569
- Citrus Green #53570
- Bright Idea #53538
- Coral Isle #52103
- True Blue #51910
- Krylon® ColorMaster Primer in white and grey
- Mineral spirits
- 180 and 220 grit sandpaper
- Putty knife
- Wood putty/filler
- Tack cloth
Instructions:
- If the surfaces have a thick build up of old paint, use a paint remover, otherwise, simply sand
- Protect the work surface with newspaper and be sure to wear protective gloves and eye wear
- Apply paint remover following package instructions to remove layers of paint – multiple applications and removals may be needed
- Clean all surfaces with mineral spirits to remove the stripper and last bits of paint
- Allow to dry
- Wear protective eyewear
- Sand the surface of the chairs with 180 grit sandpaper
- Fill any dents, dings or cracks with wood putty following package instructions
- Sand with 220 grit sandpaper
- Use a vacuum followed by a tack cloth to remove any dust particles
- Apply primer to all surfaces and allow to dry
- Use white primer for light colors and the gray primer for dark colors
- Again use the tack cloth to clean any dust particles
- Paint with enamels
