The biggest mistake buyers make is not fully appreciating or understanding the impact that a properly staged property will have on their final selling price. People who are looking to buy your home need to see the property as theirs, not yours!

Barbara Cochran, expert stager, says; “ For every dollar a home seller does not invest in condition work, a buyer will deduct at least three dollars”

TOP FIVE ACTIONS TO DO

ONE: CLEAN

Clean every surface in and out — floors, walls, ceiling/lights and windows.

TWO: PACK

Pack at least two-thirds of every closet and all personal items including family photos, certificates, valuables, medication, any inappropriate material and art.

THREE: PAINT

Paint all surfaces including walls in a neutral colour throughout to maximize flow, trim in white, stair railings in white with black handrails.

FOUR: REPAIR

Repair anything that is broken or cracked.

FIVE: REPLACE

Replace and update anything older than five years including taps, light fixtures, shower heads, door handles and counter tops.
