Designer Spaces

Unique Bed & Bath Design

This bedroom and bathroom are part of an ongoing project that includes updating the home of a successful entrepreneur who loves to travel and entertain. His goal for this home was to create a space that was fun, comfortable and accented with unique, memorable details. The home has a masculine feel to it and the homeowner gave the designers the freedom to create functional spaces designed with spectacular features throughout.

The bathroom is located on the lower level, right off the pool, and is often used when entertaining. The designers started with a mix of black and white octagon tiles and paired them with a stunning marble feature wall in the shower. The octagon tiles splash around the room in a light, playful way. The most memorable feature in this bathroom is the fully functional urinal made from a beer keg that adds a ton of fun to the design. Unlike the bedroom, where no expense was spared, for this bathroom it was all about balancing style and budget by carefully selecting pieces that would offer stunning style on a reasonable budget.

The primary bedroom is a large room with gorgeous vaulted ceilings and fabulous views. Large windows capitalize the view and a custom oversized cuddle chair that swivels allows you to relax in comfort while enjoying the scenery beyond. The room is full of fantastic details, not the least of which is a large Alaskan King bed (9’ x 9’) with a custom headboard that reaches nearly the top of the vaulted ceiling. The bed took some time to source but the homeowner was adamant that this is what he wanted. This bedroom also features a built-in bar area and a unique oversized modern LED fixture above the bed.
