As seen in the Renovations Issue of Canadian Home Trends, Editor-in-chief Marc Atiyolil shares some of his favorites products.

1. I love the look of wirebrushed flooring. From the Generations collection, this Red Oak Wirebrushed flooring in Warm Grey is the perfect choice for flooring that is both on trend and timeless. The collection comes in wide 5″ planks and random lengths up to 84″ long for a very premium look. The panels are lightly scraped with a wire brush which creates a more open grain to enhance the natural character of the wood for a beautiful finish. – Satin Flooring, www.satinflooring.com

2. QuARTz by ACO, a high-end line of designer stainless steel shower channel drains, has released an exciting new product. These new glass grates add a luxurious, modern design element to your shower. Available in black or white, the grates complement many design styles and tile colors. They are definitely on my wish list for future projects. – QuARTz by ACO, www.quartzbyaco.com

3. If you’re looking to create a feature wall, I recommend exploring two new collections from Designer Nina Hancock. The Precious Elements collection brings together an eclectic mix of natural, geometric, and conversational designs while the Brockhall collection is a combination of traditional florals and cameos with transitional abstract textures. -Prime Walls, www.primewalls.com

4. I love using an all glass door to keep a room bright and airy. Loewen Windows and Doors recently introduced several unique Pivot doors to their Vero Collection. These showpiece entrance doors have the ability to define your home with their elegant architectural styles and smooth operation. They are available in several standard sizes with a broad selection of materials and finishes. – Available through Walter’s Custom Window and Door Renovations, www.walterscustomwindowanddoor.ca
