2018 Trend Watch: Vegetal Colors

Last year was all about the color green, and its diverse applications across the board, ranging from the kitchen to the bathroom to the front door. This year, trend forecasters aren’t singing a totally different tune, with vegetal colors being on-trend for the year to come. Think: all shades of green and blue, alluding to nature and health. 

 

Celery Green, by Pantone 

From the makers of Greenery, comes Celery Green: a delicious shade reminiscent of rolling pastures and freshly cut grass. At the onset of winter, Celery Green is the refreshing shade we need to remedy our winter blues.

In The Moment, by Behr 

Behr’s 2018 color of the year, poetically named, In The Moment, is comprised of spruce blue, soft gray, and green. In The Moment can act as a neutral of sorts, as it pairs well with a diverse range of colors and design styles.

Eggshell Blue, by Pantone 

Subtle and subdued are two astute ways to describe the gracious hue that is Eggshell Blue. Use it anywhere from your bathroom to your kitchen to your bedroom, and enjoy the coveted sense of calmness Eggshell Blue leaves in its wake.

Oceanside, Sherwin Williams 

For a more energy-packed hue, we love Oceanside, Sherwin Williams’ 2018 color of the year. Oceanside is bright, impactful, and simply stunning, and pairs well wood furnishings and texture-heavy textiles.

Green Peace, Beauti-Tone 

As its name suggests, Green Peace is above all tranquil, providing a welcomed juxtaposition to the busyness of life. The soothing tone would do well anywhere from the bedroom to the bathroom to the sunroom.
