Cozy Bedroom Oasis – Sherwin-Williams recently announced their 2021 color of the year – a rich, nature inspired bronze that conveys a sense of comfort, calm and stability. Urbane Bronze SW 7028 is a bold yet calming color that lends itself well to a variety of styles and I used it as my starting point for this cozy bedroom oasis. Because the color is quite dark, I paired it with a light White Oak engineered hard wood floor from Peerani’s Flooring that continues that natural feel and adds an airy touch to the room.
Texture plays a large part in this cozy bedroom oasis design concept, with tasseled bedding, knit pillow covers, fringed light fixtures and macrame accents. A few hints of black in the rug, floor lamps and wrought iron side tables help to ground the space while a few gold accents in the artwork add elegance to the space. The wood in the side table and a beautiful Monstera plant add natural warmth to the space.
I have always been a big fan of color in any space but in this case, less is more. A pretty pink chair, a few throw pillows that include pink and golden yellow in the mix, a hint of color in the artwork and a touch of golden yellow in the area rug add a subtle touch of color without overwhelming the natural feel of the room.
