Deck Makeover – As owners of a local greenhouse business, these homeowners spend a great deal of time outdoors and they love to entertain as well. Their outdated backyard was not the oasis they desired. Features of the old space included an old, out of service hot tub and two small decks that resulted in little space for guests.
When planning their deck makeover and new backyard paradise, the goal was to create one large, functional space where everyone could mingle while focusing on high quality materials and custom details. The space also needed to incorporate multiple grills as the homeowner is an avid griller with a collection of barbecues and smokers.
The new deck offers about 450 square feet of usable space made up of two Trex decks, two cedar pergolas and custom skirting. The two pergolas create multiple living spaces to provide plenty of opportunity for creating zones and offering spaces for multiple guests to enjoy at once.
