Creating a Modern Laundry Room

Modern Laundry Room – The laundry room is often one of the last places we think about when it comes to designing our homes but given the amount of time we spend doing laundry, shouldn’t this be a space we look forward to walking into?

WHITE AND BRIGHT Clean and uncluttered should be the main goal for a modern laundry room. I prefer to use clean-lined cabinetry and shelving with pulls or handles in a sleek finish. To keep the look clean, opt for a crisp white on the walls and a beautiful White Attica by Caeserstone countertop and backsplash.

ADDING PERSONALITY A clean, white space can be cold and sterile so it’s important to add some character and warmth as well. I love the Mid-Century Modern touch of woodwork in a dark walnut to add warmth. Matte black used for faucets and fixtures helps to ground the space and give added depth without taking away from the clean, fresh look of the modern laundry room.

STUNNING STORAGE If spaces allows, a freestanding credenza is a great choice for a modern laundry room, adding storage and a work surface as well as style.
