Light Of My Life

LIGHTING IS KEY TO CREATING A BRIGHT, AIRY, SPA-LIKE BATHROOM. THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO WHEN DESIGNING A BATHROOM SPACE TO IMPROVE LIGHTING.

GLASS SHOWERS A full glass shower surround allows light to move throughout the space without being blocked by walls. This also keeps the room open, making it feel larger.

POT LIGHTS Installing pot lights throughout the bathroom provides bright, even lighting day or night, and can elevate the look of a low ceiling.

LARGE WINDOWS If space allows, a large window with a fabulous view is a great way to bring natural light into a bathroom. If privacy is a concern, consider a frosted window which will still allow light to enter.

REFLECTIVE SURFACES Surfaces that will reflect the light are a great choice for a bathroom. This includes things like mirrors and glossy stone or tile.

MINIMAL DÉCOR Less is more when decorating a bathroom. Clutter makes a space feel smaller. Design your bathroom to provide plenty of storage, keeping clutter at a minimum and opt for simple decorative touches that do not overwhelm the space.
