New products make motorization at the window simpler and more affordable than ever

64827H(NC)—Motorization used to be something only 007 was good at.  Now, motorization is adding convenience to homes everywhere, especially those of the aging baby boomers who are downsizing and remodeling for an empty nest.  The latest news on the automated front is additions to the easy to install, affordable PowerRise 2.0 with Platinum Technology battery-powered motorization system from Hunter Douglas.  PowerRise 2.0 operates using a Platinum remote and/or wireless wall switch.  It easily integrates with most home automation systems, offering the ultimate in control possibilities.

This system is now available on the company’s popular Designer Roller Shades, which offer a diverse range of custom fabrics in three categories: traditional, natural and soft, and Designer Screen Shades, which provide visibility of the outdoors while protecting furnishings from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

These collections are also powering up in other ways. There are 12 dynamic new fabric styles from natural to modern from which to choose for Designer Roller Shades. The first room-darkening screen fabric has also been added to the Designer Screen Shades line.  All 13 fabrics can be used on multiple product styles, including Skyline Gliding Window Panels, Designer Roller Shades and Designer Screen Shades.
