Siblings Ksenija and John Lebec started their family business together with their father in 1999 making wood doors. A year later, with the vision to create a different kind of thermofoil kitchen cabinet door company, Door Maker was born. In 2010, the brother and sister duo were joined by Ksenija’s husband, David Adrian. From those beginnings came The Door Maker, an online cabinet company offering custom cabinet door services for DIYers with their Build a Door (GET BaD) program and The Door Maker’s online ordering system.
The Door Maker is now developing a proprietary software system that will allow customers to design, purchase, track and monitor their new thermofoil kitchen cabinet doors right from the comfort of their soon-to-be redesigned kitchen. Expanding the online ordering system (BaD) into a complete package will allow the customer full control over the design and manufacturing of their new doors. The idea is to have the consumer design new doors, show them how to remove and replace those doors and complete the full transformation of their kitchen. Ksenija, John and David are setting the pace in the DIY online retail stream, having spent several years developing a site and more years marketing the site. The Door Maker is now standing on its own, staring the internet down.
