As you can imagine, being the online editor for a national decor magazine, I am inundated with trend reports and predictions at this time of year. Incorporating all the trends into your decor each year would be impossible! If you are looking to update your decor with some of this year’s hottest trends, I suggest choosing a few of your favourites and sticking to those. Here are some of my favourites for 2014!

This simple design idea is hot right now and is very easy to incorporate into your own decor even if you can't afford to replace your current furniture pieces. This trend is a great way to give old pieces new life and add visual interest to chairs, coffee tables, side tables, dining tables or anything with a straight leg!
