As you can imagine, being the online editor for a national decor magazine, I am inundated with trend reports and predictions at this time of year. Incorporating all the trends into your decor each year would be impossible! If you are looking to update your decor with some of this year’s hottest trends, I suggest choosing a few of your favourites and sticking to those. Here are some of my favourites for 2014!

As retro styles and patterns reappear, you can expect to see an infusion of tie dye both in fashion and home decor this year. With tie dye inspired patterns popping up on everything from throw pillows to sofas, this trend lets you add an exciting splash of colour and personality to any space.
