Edward Lowe always knew he wanted to choose a career in Health Sciences where he could help others. Watching his own dentist’s passion and love for dentistry is what led Dr. Lowe to choose the dentist career path for himself. He graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1986 and went on to establish The Lowe Centre for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in Downtown Vancouver in 1989. He has taken numerous courses in cosmetic and implant dentistry, and he likes to stay up to date with his knowledge of materials and applications on the cutting edge by constantly reviewing publications in advanced esthetics and implants.
Dr. Lowe believes in treating everyone like family and with respect. He loves meeting with his patients, and the work he gets to do brings him so much joy. One of his favorite parts of his job is the team he surrounds himself with and getting to teach and coach many colleagues. He believes everyone should feel confident with their smile and wants to help as many people as possible reach that level of self confidence. “Smile makeovers are not something for the novice dentist,” Dr. Lowe cautions. “The person doing it must have experience in cosmetic dentistry and be able to use all the possible tools dentistry has to provide to achieve an esthetic and functional outcome in the most conservative way possible.”
