Haniya Masood got involved in the construction industry through her father and his company, Digram Developments. Her family has real estate businesses all over the world. Haniya’s inspiration comes from her father’s work ethic and her mother’s ability to fill in the gaps and take care of everything. This taught Haniya how to balance work and home life. In 2014, the family introduced the construction company, Digreen Homes where they build homes not just for production purposes but to fulfill dreams! They are a green company that focuses on using techniques and materials that are environmentally friendly.

CANADIAN HOME TRENDS – If you could have lunch with any one person in the world, who would you pick and why?
HANIYA MASOOD – Personally speaking I have always looked up to my Father’s business sense and my Mother’s ability to manage life in general, so if there was anyone I would enjoy getting more inspired by, it would be my parents as cliché as that may sound.

CHT – If you could go back 20 years, what advice would you give your younger self?
HM – I would sit her down and tell her to work hard today, work on your business ethics today so you can continue to build on them as you grow and never be afraid of risk and change. Business is all about risk and constant change. If you shy away from it, you won’t be able to make it.

CHT – Name one thing on your bucket list.
HM – I don’t have anything like jumping out from a moving plane or going deep sea diving. My bucket list is full of goals I want to accomplish long-term.

CHT – What is your favorite room in your house?
HM – My bedroom is my favorite. It can be messy and clean depending on my mood, but it’s where I am my true self. Second is the kitchen because I love to eat.
