In 2018, Vinod Varma started Creator with the goal to help influencers grow their platforms and find resources for brand deals. Creator works closely with both influencers and companies to help join the two together for brand deals and collabs. They also host webinars and events, and offer deals on the best creator tools for their influencers. They have a wide variety of brands, and work with small companies to big corporations such as Walmart and Colgate. They are the only platform that opens up a direct line of communication for clients (through Slack) with a Campaign Specialist who helps strategize, build campaigns, and execute. With over 110,000 registered influencers to date, they are continually adding new features to stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing and brand growth.
CANADIAN HOME TRENDS If you could have lunch with any one person in the world, who would you pick and why?
VINOD VARMA Gary Vaynerchuck! I love his unconventional approach to marketing. The way he speaks resonates with me. I think we’d have a lot of fun over lunch – and I’d learn a lot. Hopefully I can contribute to him as well in some way (haha).
CHT If you could go back 20 years, what advice would you give your younger self?
VV Start sooner, don’t be afraid to fail – because you will and it’s ok. Aim way higher.
CHT Name one thing on your bucket list.
VV I need to visit the Maldives.
CHT What is your favorite room in your house?
VV The shower is where I get my best thinking done. Hot steamy showers with no distractions.
