2018 Colour Trends

We asked four of our design contributors to share what colors they are excited about for 2018. Here’s what they said:

Designer: Jane Lockhart

HER COLOR: I expect to see a lot of burgundy in 2018. It is a rich red-purple that complements gray, charcoal and gold.  (Photo by Larry Arnal)

Designer: Evelyn Eshun

HER COLOR: 2018 will be all about vibrant and hopeful colors. Blue is a color which can be used as a statement color for walls and cabinetry, or paired with crisp cool whites as an accent. (Photo by Lisa Petrole)

Designer: Jo Alcorn

HER COLOR: I am forecasting that red is going to be a popular choice for 2018 and we’re going to see it as a major accent color either inside or outside of the home. It would be stunning on a front door, furniture pieces and even in your fabrics. (Photo by Robin Stubbert)

Designer: Nicholas Rosaci

HIS COLOR: I believe gray is still on point and as timely as ever. Gray can be dramatically dressed up, used in monochromatic décor schemes, or paired with pretty pastels and bright bold pops of color. I see a smokier gray/metallic for 2018 with just a hint of lavender and purple undertones. (Photo by HomeSense)
