Every bedroom needs a great chair to toss your stuff on after a long day, or a spot for some inspirational reading. I also love sconces because they provide great ambience lighting for bedtime reading but also keep the bedside table top free. I recommend installing dimmer switches on both sides of the bed to allow for personal lighting preferences. I also like to include more personal photo memories in lovely frames. I particularly prefer frames that are freestanding, as they take up less space. Great hardware is always a must in any space! Swapping out older hardware is easy for a quick refresh to an old dresser.

Affordable, organic luxury bedding is a must. I love these fitted sheets with stitched labels that say short and long sides. A bed that provides a clean, modern style and can transition to many design styles is also a great choice. I love adding a unique, non-committal feature wall using removable wallpaper and decals. For a finishing touch, a living wall art piece helps improve air quality, adds texture and brings a touch of greenery into your room.

My bedroom essential would be a custom-made headboard of any sort that budget allows! Both of these small bedrooms have been transformed using custom, wall-mounted headboards. The smaller application, as opposed to full height, full width panels, is less expensive but still creates a beautiful focal point in each bedroom.

It’s ideal to have a customized closet for optimal storage and organization in your bedroom. Gazing up at dreamy lighting is a must-have for the master bedroom, like this Celeste pendant. Statement nightstands are also a great feature, especially if they still have some storage like these burl nightstands from CB2!
