I have many fond memories of various travel adventures but the place which inspires my soul the most is Florence, Italy. I’ve been fortunate to have visited this beautiful and art-filled city many times and I yearn to go back soon.
Florence is truly the birth place of art and architecture. With works by famous artists like Michelangelo and architects like Brunelleschi, how can one not be inspired. The atmosphere in this jewel of a city is friendly, welcoming and warm. The food is exceptional with many cafes and restaurants where you can easily spend hours enjoying the passing time.

Dreaming of my time in Florence

At the Arno River with Ponte Vecchio behind me – I almost dropped my camera in this river a few minutes after this shot was taken.

Architecture to die for!

Even the lamp posts are gorgeous!

Statue of Cosmo de Medici, the head of the family which ruled the city in the early 14th century.

Stunning doors can be found all over the city!

Riding a carousel.

The city of Florence from atop a hill while I was visiting Palazzo Pitti, a residence previously owned by the Medici’s that is now a museum.

Wood carvings are intricately carved and plentiful.

Ponte Vecchio bridge, one of the most recognizable sites in Florence.
