The pale oak kitchen had a wall of stone added to its north face which created texture
and dimension, an excellent foil to the cement island. Natural walnut, sporting a rich
wood grain, was used for a number of accents on the main floor. From the vestibule
walls, the cabinet fronts flanking the fireplaces, to the boxes covering the radiators, this
wood added lustre to its surroundings. The wood tone was highlighted by the glow of
the Mercury chandelier.
