Nothing is more inspiring to me then traveling abroad and taking in the splendour of how things that we are so used to at home can be done so differently and beautifully in another country. Right now I am in Paris, France, staying at the quaint boutique accommodation Hotel Daniel, where each suite is furnished with unique pieces from around the world – how much more inspiring can it get than that?

I really like the way that they dress the windows here – simple panel drapery that we would normally hang the same way everyday at home is always hung differently here. The way you tie back your curtains can create a whole new feel for a room – you can go from casual to more formal just in the way that the fabric hangs.

These are only a few ways – get creative at home and change yours up now! Tweet a photo to me @yanicsimard with your style and I’ll re-tweet my favourites!
